SUMMER CAMP 2026

Enrollment for Summer 2026 is in the works!

2026 REGISTRATION UPDATE:

We are excited to announce that camper registration will go live at 12:00 PM on Monday, March 2nd, 2026. Our CIT application will launch at the same time as camper registration, and the Google Form will be linked to this page. The staff application will be launched at 12:00 PM on Monday, February 23rd, and will be linked to this page.

This page was last updated on Monday, February 9th. If you are looking for details, and they have not yet been posted here, they are still being finalized. The camp administration team will update the website as soon as details are finalized.

Spend your summer having outdoor adventures, saving the universe, defeating dark wizards, creating artistic masterpieces, searching for buried treasure, completing mythological quests, conducting crazy and cool science experiments, playing sports and carnival games, AND making new friends!  With a mix of activity blocks, unstructured supervised play, daily swimming in an indoor pool, and weekly field trips or on-site experiences, adventures are in order for school-age children (age 5-13) at the theme-based Honey Creek Summer Camp!

Per our Child Care Licensing Agreement, we are only able to welcome campers ages 5-13. Any child below the age of 5 may not join us until their 5th birthday. We appreciate your cooperation with this important policy.

We offer something for everyone, whether you come for a day, a week, or the entire summer. Our flexible scheduling, themed weeks, and specialty camps help you customize your summer to fill your child’s days with FUN.

Follow us on Facebook for weekly updates about field trips, staffing, and other fun news!

Due to the overwhelming waitlist last year (300+ at one point) we have put a cancellation fee in place of $10/day for cancellations prior to the June 1st deadline to cancel; so please take some care in solidifying your summer schedules before registering. You will still be able to cancel dates before June 1st, but there will now be a small fee. Dates may NOT be cancelled after June 1st, but you may still switch them for the $10/switch fee.

Check out our weekly themes on the right-hand side of this page! As of February 9th, 2026, the camp administrative team is still working on finalizing field trips and on-site visits. Dates will be posted as soon as they are confirmed!

Questions are best answered via email at hcsummercamp@hc.wash.k12.mi.us.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT?

Each week of camp has a unique theme. Campers may sign up for the entire summer, for their favorite weeks, or for a regularly scheduled drop in (for example, every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday). Please contact us to arrange a schedule that best fits your needs. Older campers (campers entering 7th or 8th grade in the fall of 2025) are eligible for the Counselor-in-Training program.

All Day Child Care
Camp operates from 8:00AM – 6:00PM
In addition to daily enrichment activities, water play, and “Me Time,” campers will enjoy a variety of clubs and field trips throughout the summer. The first hour of each day is flex time, to accommodate all families’ morning schedules. (There are no extra fees for these extended care hours.) Themed group activities begin at 9:30 A.M. Then, campers have lunch, recess, “Me Time,” and water play. An afternoon snack and a second block of theme activities finish the day.

Counselor In Training

The CIT Program offers an interactive experiential learning environment for teens entering 7th or 8th grade who want to further develop their leadership and communication skills, as well as gain experience in planning activities for young children. The program provides an inside view into how a camp runs and into the responsibilities and skills of a camp counselor. CITs are provided opportunities to shadow counselors, allowing them to observe, study, and practice skills in a supportive environment. CITs will receive 1st Aid/CPR training and are paid up to $5.50/day while they learn valuable job skills such as responsibility, teamwork, and creative problem-solving. CITs must complete an application and attend a minimum of 25 days of camp.
